Combat Profile
Magnum Opus Consummatum
Transmutes all matter and spirit into divine gold, achieving perfect union between material and ethereal realms.
Philosopher's Ascension
All allies gain permanent elevation of their spiritual essence; the alchemical work is complete and irreversible.
None in theory -- Rubedo is completion itself; in practice, very few alchemists claimed to have achieved it; the stage may be eschatological, reserved for the end of all things
“Behold, I am making all things new.” — Revelation 21:5
Lore: Rubedo is the culmination of everything. The purified, illuminated material is coagulated under intense heat until it turns red — the color of blood, of fire, of the phoenix. The Red King (sulfur, the masculine, the sun, consciousness) and the White Queen (mercury, the feminine, the moon, the unconscious) are united in the coniunctio oppositorum — the conjunction of opposites. What emerges is the Philosopher’s Stone: the perfected substance that transmutes base metal into gold, cures all disease, and grants immortality. But none of this is literal. The Stone is the perfected soul. The gold is spiritual wholeness. The immortality is eternal life. Rubedo is theosis — the human being fully united with God.
Parallel: The Resurrection (Matthew 28). The Marriage Supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:7-9). Pentecost — fire descends and transforms (Acts 2). The New Jerusalem descending from heaven (Revelation 21:1-4) — the final union of heaven and earth. “Behold, I am making all things new.” The refiner’s fire of Malachi 3:2-3: “He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.”

Nothing within the alchemical system -- Rubedo is the final state; only God stands beyond it
