US GovernmentEye on Great SealOn the reverse of the $1 bill above the unfinished pyramid. Adopted 1782. Designed by non-Masons (Charles Thomson, William Barton) but often attributed to Masonic influence. Latin: ANNUIT COEPTIS (“He approves our undertaking”)
