Séance of Endor

Summons the spirit of a deceased prophet to reveal hidden knowledge, though the summoned entity may resist or bring unexpected consequences.

Passive

Medium's Veil

Exists between the living and dead, gaining insight into forbidden mysteries and mortality itself, but drawing divine condemnation.

Weakness

Fear (terrified when Samuel actually appeared -- she expected a trick, not the real thing)

David’s lament: “O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom! If only I had died instead of you!” (2 Sam 18:33) — the most heartbreaking line in the Old Testament.

Jesus referenced the “abomination of desolation” (Matt 24:15) — pointing to both Antiochus (fulfilled) and a future Antichrist (yet to come). Antiochus is the template for the Beast.

Origin of Purim — the festival celebrating the reversal of Haman’s genocide. In 2026, blood moons fell on Purim (see Timeline.md).

The most debated supernatural event in the OT. Did she actually raise Samuel, or was it a demon? The text says “Samuel” — most traditions take it at face value, making this the only successful necromancy in Scripture.
